Monday Inspiration - No Place Like Home

The first days back at work after holidays are always...well....a little difficult.

I had a great week in Mykonos last week relaxing, reading and exploring but it's good to be back to the blog and shop and all my lovely readers.

I adore the blouse in the pic above, I bought a similar one from Zara a couple of weeks ago. I wore it in the evening with shorts on holiday and with black skinny jeans for a dinner date. Loving the styling above with the glittery bracelets.

Now that I'm back I'll be posting reguarly as well as adding some new (very lovely) items to the shop...oh and I also have a great giveaway planned too!

Out and About in Mykonos

I arrived back from Greece a little later than expected last week as my flight home was cancelled due to the air strikes in France and Greece...I guess that there are worse places to get stuck! 

If you haven't been to Mykonos, I would definitely recommend it. It was my second visit and I managed to discover some new places including a cool open air cinema - such a great experience. We watched The Angels Share, they have some great films showing this summer including The Great Gatsby. The cinema is attached to a beautiful botonology garden that is lit with candles at night and they serve all the usual cinema snacks including popcorn.

Monday Inspiration: White on White

Happy Monday everyone, and how lovely to be writing to you with the sun shining : )

I've been having a little white crush recently especially white nails and anything broderie anglaise.

I tried Essie's Blanc Polish at the weekend which I would really recommend if you like this look.

 White always looks so crisp and clean, I think I own more white blouses in different styles than any other item. They are so easy to throw on no matter what the occasion and I'm definitely looking forward to wearing my most recent crossover blouse purchase with black shorts on my holiday this week!

This cuff is my go-to bracelet at the moment.

I seem to be wearing it every day lately with work wear (like today) or casual at the weekends. The mini size means that it's really easy and comfortable to wear. I like to wear items from my shop so I can test them out for comfort and durability and this cuff is one of my favourites so far!

I'm having a little crush on this gorgeous design classic. There are many examples all over the blog and magazine world and I'm considering one (although not the original) for my kitchen or sitting/dining room.

The table was designed by the Dutch American designer Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1956 and it's easy to see why it has become a design classic. The Tulip table can fit with almost any design style from retro to modern, eclectic and classic contemporary.

You can pick up originals for a tidy price and they are available on the Knoll website for a cool $3217. Thankfully there are plenty of replicas around that are much more affordable!

Monday Inspiration: Feminine Cool

Hey everyone, how was your weekend? I'm still enjoying that last few hours of mine as it's a Bank Holiday today here in the UK and the end of my few days holiday off work.

It's been great to kick back and get some things done that I just never get around to and I went to see The Great Gatsby too. Did you see it yet? I heard mixed reviews but I absolutely loved it! I couldn't take my eyes off the beautiful interiors and costumes, it was a real feast for the eyes and a definite must-see if you haven't already. I never did read the book, so I'm now inspired to take it on holiday with me in a couple of weeks.

I managed to pick up some new bits last week which I'll share in a post this week but for now...
