I was really excited to host my first buffet style, Mothers Day lunch this year for my mom and aunt. I roasted a chicken and served it with a selection of cheeses, salads (including a yummy beetroot coleslaw), breads and snacks.
It wasn't until I came to serve that I realised the lack of co-ordinated serving dishes, plates and cutlery - oops! no-one seemed to mind but it has got me thinking that I would love to be able to create a table setting as beautiful as the ones above.
I recently discovered online store Amara - home to an array of beautiful things including a range of tableware. I love the Loveramics and Missoni ranges.
Flutter is a new design by award winning ceramics designer Peter Ting for Loveramics. Inspired by the classic Hua Niao (flower bird) paintings, the plates start at just £3.50 for a side plate and £6.99 for a dinner plate.
This would look amazing set on a rustic table or white table cloth...
and can you imagine how great cupcakes and macaroons would look on these Missoni plates...
Do you have any tips for creating the perfect table setting?
